Add option to control the default view of the FileManager
Currently, the thumbnail view is the default for the FileManager. I would like to be able to show the grid/listview view by default.

Making the relevant methods public (i.e. OnToolBarListFileViewClick() and OnToolBarGridFileViewClick()) would be a sufficient implementation.

Hi Mikael and everyone,

I can confirm that we recently moved this task from our Backlog to another pool that is subject to short-term planning.

I agree this may not provide any definite details, but it's still one step closer to implementation. The status label of this request and the release date that will appear in the future are the only official and specific information that we can communicate.

On a side note, I saw that you (Mikael) haven't voted for this feature, so I did that on your behalf. This does make a difference during product planning.

Regards,
Dimo

What is the status on this?

Having the option to set the ListView as default is a no-brainer.

Hi Ed,

You are right and I completely see your point.

The bad thing is that even small features require development time, testing, documentation and examples. These can eat up the resources for bigger tasks.

Nevertheless, I logged an item in our internal backlog, so someone can take it when they have time.

Regards,
Dimo

This is very important, and shouldn't be that hard to implement.  Let's get this done!
