Is it possible to change the plot area background color in an alternating way

Is it possible to change plot area background color on charts so that every second line is a different color.

I have attached a image with the background color look.

The current request targets the ability to color the whole plot area in alternating way. If you need to only color a certain range of the plot area, you may take a look at the Plot bands feature request.

While the most common use case is to alter the background color based on the major plot area units, we'd like to gather your feedback on how you'd expect the feature to behave - allow color altering on major units, minor units or custom steps.

As for the colors customization - we will most likely expose way to allow one provide their desired colors as a valid CSS color strings including hex and rgb. I will pass your feedback to the development team to consider when the discussion for the exact implementation starts.

Hello Nadezhda,

The preferred usecase for me would be custom steps. That gives the user the ability to choose what they prefer. And I also have some places where I would like 4 instead of 2 steps before colorchange.

Small side request, is it maybe possible to implement a range of colors to alternate through? Like a list of string with different color values in it, that would give the user more control over how it should look.

Please let me know if you need more specific usecases :)

Initially, the proposed approach for achieving this result was to use Plot Bands. However, after consideration, we have decided to target these as separate functionalities:

The current post will cover a built-in feature to set the plot area background color in an alternating way as this is the initial desired request. Here, we'd like to gather feedback on your expectations when you'd prefer to alter the background color - on major units, minor units or custom steps. Please share your thoughts.
Set color ranges in the plot area to highlight certain segments. This will be covered in another feature that I opened a request for - Plot bands. If this is the functionality you are looking for you may vote for the item to increase its popularity and follow it to keep in track with its status.

Hello Dennis,

So far the interest in this enhancement has been low and it has not been scheduled for implementation. Instead, we are focusing our development efforts on other tasks with higher priority.

If this feature is important for your scenario, you can consider using the Kendo UI Chart in a Blazor app.

Is there a timeframe about when plotbands will be exposed to the blazor components?
