Plot bands

Expose colored ranges (Plot Bands) to allow highlighting certain areas in the chart plot area - similar to https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/bar-charts/plotbands.

This feature will allow you to define certain color ranges in the plot area. If you are looking for ability to color the whole plot area in alternating way, you may check this feature request - Is it possible to change the plot area background color in an alternating way.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for your input! Having it in mind, I escalated the feature request to our management to discuss and see if we can plug it earlier in our roadmap as we understand its importance. Luckily, we were able to do so and Plot Bands enhancement is now scheduled for the 3.3.0 release of Telerik UI for Blazor.

The best way to keep in track with its progress is to follow the item (in case you haven't, of course), so you will receive email notifications for its status updates.

Plot bands are essential for our project moving forward.  For example, we need indicate bands for freezing (too cold) and other regions (too hot) when charting temperature values. 

This is a feature in Kendo and many other chart packages.  Please consider adding this to the roadmap in a somewhat near term release.  If not, we will need to integrate an alternate charting package.
