GridSearchBox to support search in multiple columns split by space

Currently the GridSearchBox is able to search in all of the visible columns but when it comes to searching in multiple columns split by space it does not work. Or even two different strings in the same cell.

Example:

If from the above grid, I type in the search box, "LT" three products will be returned but if I type "LT LD" it should return two products but the results set comes with nothing.

I have implemented CustomSearchBox component as a solution in the interim to achieve this functionality. But it would be a worthwhile effort to have this functionality out of the box.

Thank you.

Hi Sheraz,

This request came up in our latest requests review and we've noticed that its status hasn't been updated. Please accept my apologies for the delayed answer.

We've discussed the item with the team. As a result, we've agreed that this behavior differs from the built-in Searchbox behavior and thus it is a matter of a custom configuration. Having this in mind, I have updated the status of the item.

I am glad you have already implemented a solution to achieve the desired result. I encourage you to share it here, so it could help other community members.

Hi Sheraz,

Our team is currently assessing the possibility of incorporating the desired functionality as a built-in feature. The status of this item will be updated later this week.

In the meantime, could you share your CustomSearchBox component implementation here? Doing so could benefit other customers who are facing a similar scenario. I appreciate your cooperation.
