Hi Paweł,

I'd like to first double-check with to make sure I correctly understand the desired result.

While researching, this is the only case that I found in which multiple related tasks are displayed on one row:

  • The tasks have the same parent.
  • The parent item is collapsed.
  • The separate child tasks are displayed in the parent row instead of one summary task.
  • When the parent is expanded, it no longer shows its child tasks in one row. Instead, each task is rendered on a dedicated row.

Can you please revise and confirm if this is the behavior you are looking for?

If yes, I have a couple of questions:

  • What is your expected result when all child tasks have matching start and end times? When the tasks are accordingly displayed over the timeline, it is not possible to show them separately in the parent row when collapsed. In this case, would you expect the child tasks in the parent row to be overlapping and only the last one to be visible?

  • What happens if there are several nested levels? Please take a look at this demo for more clarity: Gantt - Overview. If the "Research" parent item displays all its children when collapsed and so does the "Design" parent item, what shall be displayed in the topmost row when collapsed? Shall the "Software validation, research and implementation" item display all child items from both levels?

Please let me know if I am missing anything and share all the relevant details for your desired result.

Thank you in advance! I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
