Blank DateTimePicker Placeholder for nullable datetime types

Hi,

I see this feature request which is marked as COMPLETED in v2.28 (I`m running v3.7) but I don`t see how to achieve the functionality of having a blank placeholder for a DateTimePicker which has a null datetime variable bound it.

Are you able to help please?

Hi Tom,

Let't clarify what do you mean by blank placeholder -

  • Is it an empty Placeholder parameter?
  • Or is it the ability to type free text inside the DateInput textbox. In other words, there is no mask, which forces the user to type year, month, date in a specific order between existing separators?

If you are talking about the first bullet, then set Placeholder=" " (space).

Otherwise, the second bullet is tracked here - Remove the DateInput mask and type free text. I voted on your behalf. You can also follow it to receive status updates.

The completed feature request was regarding the creation and display of custom placeholders.

It doesn`t look like it's been implemented yet though so why is the feature request which is relevant for my query marked as COMPLETED in v2.28?
