Persist Hierarchy Expanded Items State

The request targets a hierarchical Grid where some items are expanded - when I edit a parent item and then update it, all the respective detail items collapse.

Please add support for persisting the expanded state of the items.

The feature applies to the other data operations as well (for example, paging, sorting, filtering etc.).

Hi everyone,

Just posting an update: like hierarchy grid collapses on incell editing, we will be adding this enhancement with our upcoming 5.1.0 release. Once the release is live, the Grid will persist the state of the items, - however, it would expect that the Equals method of the related data is overridden so it correctly compares items(including new object references).

Regards,
Radko

Hi Meindert,

I confirm that the status of this item is still marked as "Unplanned." This means that there isn't a specific timeline assigned to it yet at the moment.

Nevertheless, as we transfer the task to our short-term backlog, its status will be updated to "Planned" along with an associated release number. This release number will indicate the future release in which persisting hierarchy expanded items state is expected to be possible for our Grid component.

To stay updated on the progress of this feature, I encourage you to subscribe to the item. By doing so, you will receive email notifications for any status updates.

Regards,
