Add parent and child relationships between the multiple levels of hierarchical grouping

I am really looking to try to do something like this in Blazor: ASP.NET MVC Scheduler Hierarchical Grouping Demo | Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC

In MVC, this feature is implemented with the dataParentValueField.

I'd also really like to support Hierarchical Grouping within the Blazor Scheduler, please.

As it stands, my only option is to support just one resource group at a time due to the fact that in my case the resource groupings are hierarchical in nature and it makes no sense within the user context to repeat the child groups.

I'm just a tad disappointed that there isn't feature parity between the products in the first place, considering that C# is the foundation for both.

Hello Rick,

Thank you for the additional information. This feature would be better defined as Add parent and child relationships between the multiple levels of hierarchical grouping.

I have changed the title of this feature request and changed the status to unplanned. I have also added the link to the dataParentValueField which is how this feature request is implemented in MVC.

To further explain the requirement, my company is in the hospitality industry.  So, when presenting a scheduler to a front desk agent so they can book a reservation.  It does appear that at some point, Telerik agreed with the concept of a hierarchy because, if you follow the link in the OP; it shows that you did that same setup in the MVC Scheduler.

But, to give you a visual; using the demos that are currently available:

Blazor:

Here you Alex, Bob, and Charlie; repeated for each meeting room.

While your MVC version allows for more flexibility:

Here, you have Alex and Bob in 101 and Alex and Charlie in 201.

Now to circle back to the hospitality industry.

Most accommodations are generally categorized, for example Room 101 is a King Room and Room 201 is a Queen Room.

Using your current setup with Blazor Grid Resources, you would present it to the user as King Room - 101 and 201

and Queen Room - 101 and 201, Obviously this data is invalid since there is only one room per category.

The same use case applies to entertainment industry, you are not going to have multiple venues with the same sales people.  I am sure there are multiple other industries that would benefit from having a true hierarchy view instead of repeating data.

Hello Rick,

The scheduler already supports resource grouping. It can be both vertical and horizontal and you can see it from our live demos. Is there anything that the current feature of the Scheduler does not cover?
