Expose selected items in the File Manager

Hello,

Nice work on the FileManager component, this will be incredibly useful. I would like to use this control in an Open File Dialog and the only thing I'm missing to support that is what is the selected item in the listview. If I could bind that selection then I could enable/disable my Ok button and provide the selected item(s) when the user hit's ok. Is there a way to access this information?

Thanks,

-Andy

Hi Marcin,

I'm jumping into the discussion as my colleague Stamo is not in the office today.

Thank you for sharing feedback here.

I carefully reviewed the item, and I see the importance. As a result, I contacted our management, and the earliest period we can plan the feature is our R2 (around next May). Things are dynamic and additional changes may take place.

The best way to stay updated with the feature status is to keep following the public item here. If we can assist with more information, I would be glad.

Hi Stamo,

Can you advise on the progress for this feature? This should have been implemented long time ago.

The Manager must be aware of which items are selected to allow features like download, so what's the problem with just exposing these? It's been a almost half a year.

At the moment the FileManager component feels very limited and, frankly, unfinished.

Cheers,
Marcin

Hi Andrew,

I have converted this to a feature request so that we can track the demand for it. Having control over the selection can be useful in various scenarios, so it is a valid idea for an improvement.
