The ItemRender event lets you set a CSS class to the appointment DOM element, so you can add desired CSS rules that will provide the behavior you seek (e.g., animations, etc.). It also has an appointment template where you can put desired content that can also implement desired visual effects. With this, I am marking this one as "completed" because such customizations are to be done with CSS in a web app and the component cannot explicitly have "blink events" feature, it needs to cater to a common use case.
