Multiselect - use tick icon to indicate selected items [WCAG 1.3.3 level A]

In drop down panel colour indicates which option has been selected (is it the dark colour or is the light colour). Suggestion: having an icon of tick would assist.

As an alternative option - Blazor MultiSelect - Templates | Telerik UI for Blazor this would be great if you could template selected and non-selected items, but at the moment there is just the one item template.

Hi,

thanks, we'll try the checkbox item template as per Checkbox in MultiSelect | Telerik UI for Blazor.
Can i suggest this information be more readily available in the multi select documentation.

Hi Matt,

Thank you for your patience.

We reviewed further the idea with the Development team, and we came to the conclusion that there is no need at the moment to make such an enhancement. The reason is that with the current set of templates we have, we can easily separate which item is selected or non-selected. You can use a loop and check if the item is in the selected items list. Another reason is that if we have a template for everything in the component this would change a little bit the general idea of having a component.

I hope this makes sense to you. If you have any other questions, I would be happy to help.

Hi Matt,

I understand the points for such an enhancement. We will review further the idea, along with the Development team, and get back to you as soon as possible with more details.

In the meantime, we have the following knowledge base article that showcases a Checkbox in Multiselect:

https://docs.telerik.com/blazor-ui/knowledge-base/multiselect-checkbox-in-dropdown

This example may turn to be suitable for your application as there are ticks that assist upon option selection.

Additionally, you can use the Class parameter for visual changes and customization of the MultiSelect.

Please let me know if you need any further information in the meantime. Thank you.
