After further reviewing the case with the team, we came to the conclusion that we cannot confirm the described behavior as a bug. This is by design in our component. The mouse focuses only through click action by default, and this is the main difference from the keyboard focus.

Upon interest, we have open feature requests for an OnFocus event and a method for opening the dropdown. These features would allow you to achieve the desired result programmatically once they are implemented. We prioritize feature requests upon interest. You can add your vote there to increase the item's popularity.

You can also follow the items to get notified via email over status changes.
