TelerikCalendar should work with DateOnly Struct

Why does the TelerikCalendar not support the DateOnly struct?  Can this functionality be added?

Many of our Date operations rely on the DateOnly struct.

Hey Dimo,

Thanks for the response. Yes, I agree that the demand would be needed; Hospitality uses what is called a Property Date which does not always coincide with the true date and the time is irrelevant.  Generally, what I end up having to do with DateTime is stripping the time portion off and hoping that the browser does not adjust it for TimeZone.

I had seen that Telerik made the change to the other Date Pickers and was hoping that it would apply to the calendar as well.  While generally, I have used the Date Pickers in the past; we had a request for a full screen calendar and thus I found that I was back in the DateTime world again.

Hi Rick,

The Calendar was implemented before .NET 6 was released and when DateOnly did not exist. As a result, the component is strongly typed (DateTime).

We can make it a generic component, but this will be a breaking change for everyone who is using some of the Calendar events. As a result, we need enough demand to justify our development effort and the customers' production app updates.

Strange as it may seem, you are the first customer who needs Calendar DateOnly support. I will convert your forum thread to a public feature request.

Regards,
Dimo
