Telerik UI for Blazor is not working, can't create a new project or add to an existing

Using Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2022 (64-bit) - Current Version 17.11.0

Trying to create a new Telerik for Blazor project using Telerik C# Blazor Application Template.

Visual Studio freezes after I Name the project and click create. Only way to exit out of Visual Studio is to kill it through task manager.

Trying your project walk through for Blazor, RpsTrackingBlazor, After I add the nuget packages and try to add the using statement to _imports.razor as in the tutorial I get the error that the type or namespace name telerik could not be found.

Your project uses <TargetFramework>netcoreapp3.1</TargetFramework>

I also tried framework net8.0

P.S.

With regard to the Visual Studio freezing - please make sure that you are using the latest Telerik UI for Blazor Visual Studio extension. If yes, then I can involve my colleagues from the VS Extensions team. In the meantime, you can disable the extension if it affects your workflow. Do you see any exceptions or error logs?

Hi Steven,

Thanks for the reporting this. There are two repositories that are related to the Virtual Classroom training for Telerik UI for Blazor:

https://github.com/telerik/RpsTrackerBlazor - this is a bit embarrassing, but the updated version of this app was in an old unmerged pull request. I just merged it, so the .NET version in the main (master) branch is now .NET 7. Please excuse us for this oversight.
https://github.com/telerik/RpsTrackerBlazorTelerikUI - there should be no issues with this app, but it references Telerik UI for Blazor 4.4.0, so I updated it to the current latest 6.2.0.

I logged a new task for us to update the apps to .NET 8. I am also awarding you some Telerik points.
