Support for dynamic tabs

One can generally loop through a collection of items to create several TabStrip instances as shown in the Tabs Collection article.

However, when I am dynamically adding or removing tabs I am hitting a variety of problems targeting:

  • The active tab is not correctly set;
  • The focus is not always set on the active tab;
  • Upon adding/removing a tab, all tabs are re-created and thus their content cannot be persisted;

Please add support for dynamic tabs.

How exactly are you testing? The example in the Add or Remove TabStrip Tabs KB article works as expected. Here is a modified version that is more relevant to your case: https://blazorrepl.telerik.com/wzPbPlvc265SvGYc24

Still having this problem in the latest 2025 release - dynamically adding a tab causes other tabs to ignore PersistTabContent and re-initializes them, losing all user changes and data.

Hi Ricardo - there were two main reasons:

  • This item contains more information about the desired behavior, including the information from the other item.
  • The other item is phrased as a bug report instead of a feature request, which is not applicable to a missing functionality.

And yes, the votes are always aggregated when linking duplicates.

How did you marked my issue as Duplicated pointing this as the Original Issue if I opened https://feedback.telerik.com/blazor/1599085-tabstrip-with-dynamic-tabs-re-render-all-tabs-when-new-tab-is-added-removed  back in 2023? I hope at least the vote is the sum of all duplicates.
