Hello Roger,

Customization of the Map's marker is available with our 4.1.0 release, through the MapLayerMarkerSettings tag, which exposes a Template param. You cna read more about it here: Customizing the Marker Appearance.

Progress Telerik

As of R2 2023, the default icon type will be SVG instead of Font. See this blogpost for more information.

Hello all.

UI for Blazor 4.3 was released yesterday (June 6 2023). I didn't see a reference to this feature change.

Is this still on the roadmap ?

Hi Michal,

The ability to customize the markers' appearance is generally scheduled for UI for Blazor 4.3. which will be released on 15 May 2023. Until then, the backlog is committed with other components and enhancements also requested by the community.

I hope this time frame will suffice and will not be a showstopper for the Map usage on your side.

Would be nice if there is chance in shorter release time at least change the color of pinpoints/markers based on data.
- ColorField, ClassField or something like that.

And in later major release template as suggested.

I agree, custom markers are a must have.

This is a must have feature for our application to use the Telerik Map for Blazor.  We need to be able to put custom markers on the map.
