Scheduler TimelineWeek, TimelineWorkWeek, TimelineMonth, Timeline View date selection

Our current implementation of the JQuery version of the scheduler uses custom views. I understand that custom views are going to be a difficult if not impossible task for Blazor rendering. The goal for our custom view is simple, we override the calculateDateRange function to supply an ordered date range that allows us to have a "TimelineTwoWorkWeekView", thus showing Monday-Friday then Monday-Friday again. We also had a use case that was never implemented but would be addressed the same way; to show all "mondays this month".

Therefore, the request is a "TimelineCollectionView", displaying a timeline view for dates specified in an IEnumerable<DateTime>.

Any other ideas or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

When planning this request, please keep in mind having slots, grouped resources, and vertical/horizontal orientation.

Hello Devin,

Thank you for the clarification.

Indeed, my initial thought was that such a requirement is too specific to be introduced as a dedicated view, thus a possible solution to what you are after could be a Timeline view, where one could pass a collection of dates, or possibly even a number of days taken/skipped, thus achieving the desired result. Having said this, this will be re-evaluated once in development, but the feedback will most certainly be taken into account.

To help with clarification, our current Timeline Two Week view has an option to Hide Weekends. For a Start Date of today 5/16/2022 it would should:

| 5/16 | 5/17 | 5/18 | 5/19 | 5/20 | 5/23 | 5/24 | 5/25 | 5/26 | 5-27 | 5/28 |

Hello Devin,

First of all - thank you for the suggestion! I consider your request valid and I am changing the status of it to Unplanned.

Just a slight clarification - I am not certain introducing such a new custom view is required. If I understand this correctly, implementing a TimelineWeek and a TimelineWorkWeek views (similarly to what we already have in our jQuery suite) will resolve the issue you currently have at hand. Once we have such views, it might be easier to allow configuration, through certain parameters, of what days are shown and how many are skipped or possibly even a collection of dates as you have suggested, instead of providing a whole new custom view altogether.

Please note I have also updated the title slightly to contain more information in regards to this.
