Reordering Tiles breaks the layout
I would like the tile layout to stay 4 rows in height, however, when a user reorders one of the tiles in a certain way, it extends it down to a 5th row and displaces one of the tiles in an unpleasing way, which I've shown in the attached image.

Hello Zachary, Victoria,

We reviewed this item and believe that the observed behavior is correct and by design.

The TileLayout tiles move up and to the left automatically *only* when this does *not* lead to tile reordering. In the discussed scenario:

  1. The initial tile order is 1-2-3
  2. The user reorders the tiles like 3-1-2.
  3. The proposition is for the tiles to automatically reorder and appear as 3-2-1. However, this behavior may not be desired or expected by the user. Instead, we prefer to leave users the freedom to move tile 2 up manually.

If the desired behavior is important to you, we can convert the bug report to a feature request and wait for it to gather enough customer votes for implementation. In this case, please also elaborate on the general behavior that you would like to see. Note that in more complex layouts, automatic tile reordering may force users to "fix" their layouts. In other words, the feature may cause more problems that it will solve.

Regards,
Dimo
