<GridCommandButton Command="Save" Icon="save" ShowInEdit="true" Title="Some text here">Some text here</GridCommandButton>
Update and Cancel GridCommandButtons do not honor Caption when using PopUp edit forms.
The "Some text here" will show up as name of button in Inline editing but not in Popup form editing where the default Save button will instead be shown.
Hi Patrik,
After further discussion with our development team, I can confirm that the current behavior is by design. The provided command button settings will be applied to the buttons placed in the Command column since they are treated as command buttons. They cannot be automatically translated to the popup form buttons which are regular, not command buttons.
For handling the desired scenario, we will expose an option to control the buttons in the edit form. This will allow you to customize the popup form buttons as needed - set the desired Title, ThemeColor, button text or else. Having this in mind, I marked this thread as a duplicate of the above linked one since the use case will be handled with it. I see you already voted for the item. You can also follow it to get email notifications on status changes.
At this stage, the workaround will be to use custom editing where you can have full control over the rendering.

Hi Patrik,
Indeed, it looks like if the Popup edit mode is used, the Title parameter of the buttons in the popup form is not honored. As per the tests I performed, I can also confirm this issue occurs only in Popup edit and affects the Update and Cancel buttons only. The Title parameter for the Edit and Delete buttons is correctly rendered.
Having this in mind, I tweaked the title a bit to cover this specific scenario. I also added your vote to the report to increase its popularity. You will be notified via email on any status updates.
Last but not least, I want to thank you for reporting this behavior. As a small gesture of gratitude, I have rewarded your account with some Telerik points.
