Column Display Format to affect the filter Format, or a new filter format parameter

I set the GridColumn DisplayFormat="{0: yyyy-MM-dd}" and the data reflects that format. The default filter control doesn't. How can I make the control do that?

For the time being, the way to affect the filter behavior is through a custom filter template. The format for date pickers and numeric textboxes comes from the app culture settings (see more here). You may also want to Follow this idea for easier selection of a default filter operator and limiting the filter operators choices.

Hello Tom,

Normally, "Completed" items point to a version number, which is related to release notes, which mention the feature name, which is covered in the documentation. We want developers to visit the documentation, instead of us duplicating documentation content here. If something is hard to find in the documentation, that's another story and it's worth fixing.

This specific item does not point to a version number, because there was no actual new feature when it was marked as "Completed" - there was only a suggested workaround. We avoid using this approach now.

Thank you Dimo - can I propose a suggest that when feedback is marked as COMPLETED that an update is made by Telerik to direct users to the relevant sections.

I see so many completed feedback requests linked to a specific release but no guidance has been added as to how to use the new functionality.

Columns now have a FilterEditorFormat parameter.

This is marked as completed but I don`t it actually completed other than the workaround suggested by Admin?
