ADD. BarCode - DataMatrix barcode

Hello,
As part of my evaluation of your WinForms control collection, I noticed that your Barcode control lacks a DataMatrix 2D barcode. This is a very common and useful barcode that is used in production environments. We use it extensively here. What are the chances of adding DM barcodes?

Hello, Mi,

DataMatrix barcode is a new addition to the 2D-Barcodes family and was introduced in our latest Release R3 2020 SP1(version 2020.3.1020). If you are using this version you should be able to benefit from the latest changes and the new DataMatrix barcode.

I'm a bit confused! The status of this item is unplanned.

But:
In the documentation you state, that DataMatrix barcodes are supported: https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/winforms/controls/barcode/barcode-types/supported-types.

There is also some more documentation on DataMaxtrix: https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/winforms/controls/barcode/barcode-types/2d-barcodes/datamatrix/overview.

But:
On your homepage there is also DataMatrix support missing: https://www.telerik.com/products/winforms/barcode.aspx

There is also no sample of the usage of Datamatrix Barcodes in your WinForms Controls sample application.

So what is the real status of this? Yes, maybe, no, in the near future?

Hello, Matt,

I would like to note that we understand the importance of this feature request. However, have in mind that we strive to consider our customers' demand when planning the new features for the upcoming releases. In other words, the more votes an item gathers, the higher its priority becomes. It seems that there is no huge demand for this feature. That is why it is not included in the current planning for the Telerik UI for WinForms suite yet.

Please make sure that you cast your vote for this feature in order to increase its priority. If you follow the item, you will get notified once any changes occur.

Is there any consideration for adding this feature? As I stated initially, DataMatrix barcodes are used heavily in production facilities, can be printed very small, and can store lots of data for its size. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.
