Chart - messages option missing in TS typings

The Kendo Chart widget's documentation describes the setting messages.noData. However, it is missing in the typescript typings.

The documentation matches the source code, but the typings do not.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for reporting this. You are right that the messages.noData option is documented and implemented in the Chart source code, but it was missing from the TypeScript typings.

We have fixed this by adding the missing definitions to the Kendo UI for jQuery TypeScript typings:

  • A new ChartMessages interface with noData?: string.
  • A messages property in the Chart options (ChartOptions).
  • A messages property and the related noData option in the StockChart options (StockChartOptions).

The fix will be available in an upcoming release.
