Grid - Prevent jump from Numeric Buttons to Input

Hi Team,

I would like to request a way to prevent a responsive Grid from displaying an input when the screensize/container is shorter.  Perhaps, decreasing the buttonCount automatically instead of displaying the input may be a reasonable alternative.  This would be better than setting the pageable.responsive configuration to false.

Thank you!

Hello Lee,

Thank you for the suggestions.

Currently the most straight-forward option for keeping the pager the same in different viewports is setting the pageable.responsive option to false. However, having additional configurations for the scenarios you describe can definitely improve the pager component.

Decreasing the button count automatically would be a good idea. It might also be a good idea to allow for at least 2 digit numbers when deciding which version of the pager to display. For example, even though the user might currently be on page 1, if there are 10 or more pages and 3, 2 digit page numbers won't fit, just switch to the compact pager version from the start. I don't think we need to necessarily worry about 100 or 1000 pages because if the layout changes at those thresholds, it will be only once and really far up there.
