An error is thrown from the Scheduler when run on Safari

Bug report

On Safari, the Scheduler throws an error.

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Open and run this Dojo example - https://dojo.telerik.com/UZATyPgT/10
  2. Check the browser console

Current behavior

An error is thrown on the browser console

Expected/desired behavior

No errors should be thrown

Environment

  • Kendo UI version: 2025.1.227
  • OS: iOS 15.4.1
  • Browser: [Safari18.4]

Hello,

I understand your concern about the Scheduler’s compatibility on Mac and iOS devices, and I want to assure you that cross-platform support is considered important. The issue you’ve encountered is not due to a lack of priority for device compatibility, but rather a result of the current prioritization in the bug fixing process, which is influenced by the number of reports and the severity of each issue.

Тhe Scheduler is designed to work across all major platforms, including macOS and iOS. However, some issues—especially those specific to certain browser versions or OS updates—can be less frequently reported and may take longer to address if they are not widespread.

As I understand the importance of the issue for your application, I increased the priority of the item. However, note that there are still issues with higher priority. Thus, as Martin previously suggested, we recommend following the item status in the Feedback Portal.

I guess this is never going to be fixed.

 

I appears whether the Scheduler works on Apple devices has no importance.

Hello, Arne,

We still don't have an estimate when the bug will be fixed. We haven't received any similar reports about the issue, probably due to the specifics to reproduce it, regarding the iOS/Safari versions.

Any news.  The bug is getting to be a real problem for our company.

Are we the first user of the scheduler on a Mac?
