Kendo Grid column command visible function not called when command does not have an array

When adding a command to a column, passing the command options via an array or not makes a difference only for the visible option of the command. See DoJo:
Kendo UI Snippet | Kendo UI Dojo (telerik.com)

All options for command work both with and without the array, except the visible function.

Hi Neli,

Thanks for the clarification. I completely did not see that it is either string or array in the documentation. I understand that adding an array is logical, considering it is possible to add more than one command to a column.

But, it is easily overlooked. And since almost all functionality behaves as I would expect with both object and array (except for this one function), I did not read the documentation carefully. For us, it has been something we overlooked and has been a mild annoyance for years.

That is why I am happy that my bug report got changed to a feature request.

Thanks for the update!

Hi Bart,

As described in the API the columns.command options could be either a string or an array. In the provided Dojo example it is an object. With that said, the observed issue is more due to an invalid configuration. However, I agree that the behavior can be enhanced and be consistent with the rest of the options. Thus, I am changing the status of the report to Feature Request.

I remain at your disposal in case you have any additional questions on the matter.
