Hello
Is it possible to group events by 2 different fields in a different view ?
Like :
Custom View 1 - Grouped by Room
Custom View 2 - Grouped by Attendee
Thank you
Hi Sergey,
I opened a new feature request on your behalf addressing the dynamic resources topic. You can find it in your account. And this is the link to the public portal: https://feedback.telerik.com/kendo-jquery-ui/1524846-add-option-to-render-only-available-resource-groups-in-scheduler.

Sorry - I was told by the support that it is impossible !!! And that I need to submit a feature request :)
Now I see it is working ! Looks like not everyone in your team knows the product you are selling :)
Great !! Thank you !
The second one - yes its is a second feature request if possible.
right now the resources must be loaded before the events but in my cases they depend on the events loaded.
To achieve this I have to call read events twice skipping actual event reading ... a bit strange.
Thank you
Hello Sergey,
Thank you for the additional details. I would like to assure you first that we are taking every feature request and feedback seriously and take into consideration every aspect of it.
I examined the support tickets mentioned. The first one and the case originally requested here addresses a requirement to set up different resources for two different views. This is doable by using the Scheduler options - views.group. And here you are a very basic dojo about that: https://dojo.telerik.com/@iankodj/onEQItos. And because of that, I marked the item as closed.
In your last message, I see you require to load only the resource items that are being used by the events in the current range. Is this is the requirement that you address as dynamic resources? I am able to find only a support ticket on that topic. If the discussion there should be wrapped into a feature request please let me know and I will make sure to summarize the case in a feature request and open it on your behalf.
Regards,
Ianko

Let me bring an example:
For example : I have 3000 users and 5000 rooms(or other resources)
I need 2 views where in View 1 all events are grouped by user(use only used of the loaded date-range) and View 2 where all events are grouped by room(use only rooms loaded in the current date range).
view group option does not let me to choose the resource I want to group by and it is the "feature request"
dynamic resources (i have too many to load them all at the beginning) is not supported naturally too - it is the second feature request.
All these 2 feature is very strait forward and i believe should be in the component as native features.
Trying to implement them by destroying and reinitializing the scheduler bring many other issues.
Please take it seriously and read the request carefully!.
Thank you
Hello
We have bought your product and here is a ticket in the "support" about it.
Please have a look.
They told me that I need to submit a feature request.
the Scheduler does not support dynamic resource loading based on view.
So I' am submitting the feature request.
Please have a look at the ticket and do mark this as completed because it is not!
Thank you.
Hi Sergey,
You can configure the group for each particular view by using the views.group option.
If the grouping is not applied for a particular custom view you should check the code of the custom view and take into consideration the group options that come from the view configurations and not the global ones.

Ianko
