Please make "Prevent custom values" for combobox built-in
I want this https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/controls/editors/combobox/how-to/customize/prevent-custom-values to be built-in. Instead of custom code, I would just add option preventCustomValues: true and I'm done. Thanks.

Veselin, I respectfully disagree. Kendo's own implementation of this same widget for modern Angular has this use case supported out of the box using the allowCustom property. Not only is this feature appropriate, but it's a matter of feature parity. I believe this should be reconsidered.

Hello Maciej,

By design, the ComboBox widget is intended to allow custom values. In case you need to always limit the user to choose among the predefined values in the list, I would suggest you to use the DropDownList widget instead. The workaround demonstrated in the how-to article in question would allow the developer to alter the core functionality of the ComboBox widget. Nevertheless, I am afraid that such an option would not be appropriate to be available in the built-in functionality of the widget.
