Editor does not preserve background color when bold text is copy/pasted

When a text with background color set is made bold and copy/pasted, the background color is not being preserved.

The issue can be reproduced on the following Dojo example.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Type some text.
  • Select the text and set a background color.
  • Make the text bold.
  • Copy/paste the text on a new line.

Hello,

This bug is in our backlog, but hasn't been assigned to a developer yet. I've just raised its priority, which will allow us to plan its fix with precedence over bugs with lower priority.

You can follow this thread to get notifications for changes in its status. For example once the issue is assigned and a developer starts working on it, this bug report item status will change from "Approved" to "In Development". When a fix is committed, if it passes our internal testing successfully this will be reflected in the "Completed" status.

Unfortunately, we were not able to come up with a workaround for this issue.
