Add placeholder for Editor widget
Editor does not support placeholder. It would be nice, to have this feature.

Thanks for your response. I was able to get the Placeholder property to work after all not too long after I submitted my post. Tried to delete it, but there wasn't an option to delete.

Everything is good and it works perfectly!

Hello Ben,

I can confirm that the Placeholder option has been added to the ASP.NET MVC wrappers. Please, make sure that the Kendo.Mvc.dll is updated, as well as the script and style resources that are referenced in the _Layout.cshtml in the application.

In case the issue continues to persist, you can open a separate support ticket with additional information and I will be happy to assist you further.

Has this been added to the Web Extensions for ASP.NET MVC controls? I have updated to R1 2019, but the "Placeholder" option is not available.

As an update for everyone I just want to mention that this feature is currently being targeted for our R1 2019 release!

A placeholder for the Editor could be implemented by dynamically appending a class to the body of the widget and then toggle it. Refer to the following example where this is demonstrated:

Kendo UI R3 2016 was released on September 14, 2016, but there is no such functionality in it.
