it seems that KendoUI will replace Telerik MVC Controls in near future. Yet there is no clear update path to inform developers about the migration roadmap (when will the mvc controls expire?). As a customer who recently bought MVC Controls, I'm also hoping for update discounts or some "grace period" (e.g. get a free kendo ui license if you bought the MVC controls 3 months before Kendo's launch)
That is exactly what our goal is, i.e. feature parity with the present Telerik MVC extensions when porting our server-side MVC codebase to Kendo UI. With the official launch of Kendo UI, due on November 30th, we will publish a Kendo UI <> MVC strategy sheet which will address most of the frequently asked questions with this regard.
So to what extent is the functionality of the current Telerik MVC offering an accurate roadmap for the development of Kendo UI? I'm currently evaluating UI frameworks for a new project and have noticed several things missing from Kendo UI that are present in your earlier product. I am looking for a purely browser-side solution so Kendo fits the bill nicely, and it would be helpful to know if feature-parity with the MVC demos is a general goal. Thanks for your consideration!
