RadPDFViewer: Could not load Microsoft.Web.WebView2.WinForms in Q2 2026

An exception is thrown when loading a document:

FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Web.WebView2.WinForms, Version=1.0.3719.77, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=2a8ab48044d2601e' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Hi, Daniel,

Thank you for your updates.

Yes, if you install the Microsoft.Web.WebView2 NuGet package to your project, the issue should no longer occur in the latest version. You can use it as a workaround until we provide our next version with the fix. However, our intended fix is to remove the dependency on this package so that RadPdfViewer can function as it did prior to Q2 2026, without requiring any additional NuGet packages.

Additional note: the WebView2 version has to be 1.0.3719.77. Otherwise it would still cause the error.

Hi,

Thank you for responding to this issue.  We have resolved it by installing Microsoft.Web.WebView2 from Nuget.
