SpreadProcessing: Provide API for importing documents on a background thread
Provide API allowing to import documents on background thread. The API should allow the passing of a CancellationToken in order to cancel the import at any time.

Hello Garrett,

This feature is still not scheduled for implementation and is not included in our roadmap at this point. I cannot say when it will be scheduled for implementation. For now, you can continue following its status here on the feedback portal.

Any updates on if this will be added in a release in the near future?

The ability to cancel importing large excel files to be viewed would be great so it doesn't continue to run in the background while the user attempts to load other files. Eventually this causes an OutOfMemeory exception which isn't ideal...
