Hi,
I wanted to follow up with some great news. We've recently released a powerful new WinForms Converter that leverages AI to help automate migration from standard Microsoft WinForms controls to Telerik UI for WinForms.
The converter analyzes your project, converts supported controls and designer files, adds the required Telerik packages, and helps streamline the migration process. It also supports both .NET Framework and modern .NET versions, helping teams modernize existing WinForms applications.
You can learn more about it here: Telerik UI for WinForms Converter
For a list of currently supported Microsoft WinForms controls and their Telerik equivalents, please see the control mapping table: Supported Control Type Mappings
Please note that full access to the WinForms Converter requires an active Telerik UI for WinForms Subscription License. If you do not currently have a subscription license, you can still evaluate the converter using a trial license.
If you decide to give it a try, we'd love to hear your feedback.

Hi,
Since the converter depends a lot on VS because it works in its context with projects and solution and updates/adds their references, check-out the modified files, we decided to migrate it to the latest version of Roslyn and make it working for VS2019 (or higher). For the old VS, we will keep the old extension. https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/winforms/winforms-converter/requirements

Hello,
Having the converter as a standalone project will make it independent. This way we will avoid all of the current and future breaking changes in Visual Studio.
