third party Error.
When developing a third party (PPM Hexagon Smart Sketch), focus on the grid and key-in. When using the winform basic control, there is no problem but when you create it with RadGridView, the application will be stopped by key-in.

Hi,

Event if nothing happens I will be able to see the part of the code that causes the hang (by hitting the pause button in Visual Studio). In addition are you using a standard WinForms application or another type? I am asking because this does not seem to be a common case and maybe our control is incompatible with the environment.

Is there anything that prevents you from sharing your application? You have unlimited support tickets which are private and we will not share you code with anyone. This is noted in our license agreement as well.

Hi.

 

I do not think you'll need the sample code.
This is because if you add the Grid but do not set anything and take the same action, it will stop.
This stops without getting any events.
This makes debugging impossible.

Hi,

I have examined the provided page and it offers me to request a trial CD. I cannot do that because we are not located in the United States. Even downloading the product it would not allow me to debug it and determine what is causing the issue. If you are developing this product would it be possible to provide me with your project or a sample project that reproduces this? This way I will be able to properly investigate this case and determine what is causing the issue. In addition, I believe that it would be better to open a support ticket since it is a private thread and no third parties will be able to see your code.  

The provided description suggests that the grid is unable to write to the data source. What kind of data source are you using for this grid? Are you using any LINQ queries to populate the grid?

I know that you can get a trial version of a third-party product here.

Please note that the UserControl in the third-party product was created with the RadGridView of 'Telerik' and attached a screenshot of the problem.

The RadGridView will cause all columns to be read-only, select empty space, and stop at any key press.

 

The same error occurs when using other components as well as the 'Telerik' RadGridView.
Ex) RadTreeView, Label etc.

Other vendors' products (Infragistics, DevExpress, etc.) will work normally and will work correctly with the Winforms components that come standard with VS (Visual Studio).

Hi,

I am not sure what happens in this case? Can you provide us with a video that shows the difference? Is there a trial version of the third party product that we can use for testing this(along with your project)?
