A bug concerning themes

Hallo,

 

I was using "Controldefault" theme and I got such an error message on laptops and desctops with smaller resolution when pointing to the gridview control:

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

At the same time on desctops with full HD everything was OK. I solved my problem selecting "Windows7" theme but I don't think it is a normal situation so I decided to inform You.

I use Visual Studio 2019 but I was unable to choose it from the list to finish the ticket.

As the status of this feedback item indicates ("Completed"), it seems that the problem is not expected to be reproducible in the latest version of the Telerik UI for WinForms suite. However, if you are still experiencing any further difficulties, it would be greatly appreciated if you can submit a support ticket from your Telerik account and provide a sample runnable project demonstrating the problem you are facing. Thus, we would be able to investigate the precise case and think about a suitable solution. In case you have connection to a local database, you can use dummy data instead and eliminate the server's factor since I believe the exact data is not the main reason for the error message.

You shouldn't be worried about your project and providing it in a support ticket. You can be certain that it will be used only for investigation purposes of this case and your privacy will be respected. Confidentiality is also described in our product EULA - See Section 11 of the WinForms EULA and Article V Section 11 of the DevCraft Complete and DevCraft Ultimate EULAs.

We have a relatively complicated code-base which makes it hard for us to provide a sample of the code without providing the entire solution.  Can you give any suggestions for how we might troubleshoot?  It happens periodically on some computers.  What might possibly cause this error?

Indeed, the obtained error is not correct. However, RadGridView is expected to behave in the same when using different themes. It is not theme dependent. What is the resolution with which you are obtaining the exception?

Since the provided information is not sufficient to replicate the issue locally, would it be possible to provide a sample project demonstrating the undesired behavior that you are facing. Thus, we would be able to make an adequate analysis of the precise case and assist you further? Thank you in advance for the cooperation.
