FIX. Provide a theme that has been end to end test to work for high Dpi
I have literally for weeks now, tried to find a single theme that works properly with High Dpi scaling, including the new material themes. None of them work, I mean not even to the point that, it's just a few quirks. I can't deploy applications, without extensive code to modify the way the controls look.

My request, is take something like material (preferably with a professional color scheme), or telerik touch, make the need adjustments to make them HiDpi, and then EXTENSIVELY test it, to insure it works.

Hello guys,

High DPI support in the suite has been introduced in the R2 2017 release. We have done our best to address as many as possible HDPI issues in the past year. At the moment the situation although not yet perfect is much better compared to the initial state. While we still have certain HDPI issues they are related to specific controls and not the themes. Generally speaking, each of the themes we provide should work equally well in normal and high DPI. That is why the feature request will be declined.

Hristo

@Peter, We were considering the MaterialBlueGray, but currently we are using the TelerikMetroBlue as it seems to be the most consistant.

As for the DPI, currently our testing has solely been on windows 10, with the Creative update applied, all the same version just on different devices, with different DPI screens.

@Bruce,
Thank you for your feedback.
Could you share us which theme do you plan to use?
Please, note that DPI is heavy dependents on Windows version (MS have a different approach for different versions) and on your application design (spaces between controls, min max sizes, layout panels and etc)

-Best,
Peter

@Peter, I don't mean to sound contrarian here, but the hotel app, makes use of very few controls when compared against the suit of controls offered.

As for opening tickets, I have been opening tickets (almostly daily), and they are responded to (you have some great support people on your team), but as you can imagine its a costly and time consuming thing to find these issues, document them, submit the bug, wait for the response (no less than 24 hours), and then modify the application to take into account the special accommodations, that are often per control, per theme.

This is why I'm requesting that telerik provide a theme that has done the QA on these controls before hand, I don't expect a bug free experience, but I don't think anyone could rightly defend the statement that these controls are HIghDPI ready. And discovering that for myself has been costly and frustrating.

Hi guys,

@Nitin, You can refer to our latest example ‘Hotel app’ (https://prnt.sc/gv5068) which is designed for HighDPI (https://prnt.sc/gv50nf) and demonstrates Material theme from end to end in real life application scenario.

@Bruce, providing High Dpi support is not a trivial task especially for container controls (like data entry, ribbons, and panels) and we strive to provide better and consistent experience. Please, open a ticket for the issues that you faced and we will try to address them.

Nitin, They currently are not supported fully that is for sure, I have yet to find a single theme that works across most controls.

The demo application, that comes with the controls will show that most don't display well.

I was just planning to use Telerik controls, Are the controls are not supported for high DPI Screens?
