As we have already announced in our latest release's blog, we are currently researching the possibilities of implementing such a control. Any feedback about the expected features you would like to see, would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, Wardeaux,

Any suggestions are very useful for us when discussing the features that the control should offer by default. Of course, we will consider not only C# language highlighting but other languages as well.

A public API for extending the default languages is also a nice to have feature and we will definitely consider it when implementing the new control.

Make sure that you cast your vote for this request. The more votes an item gathers, the higher its priority becomes.

this would be an excellent addition... i would suggest (and you probably already have discussed) making this for more than just c#, but also vb/vba/php/etc and other languages... i have seen products that would allow us to add "language definition" files that let us define/expand the syntax offerings without making you do them for us... would be a very nice offering...

We found the RichTextEditor example unsuitable for our needs and ended up going with FastColoredTextbox. We would love to move to a Telerik solution if one becomes available though.

This feature request is definitely in our To Do list. However, I can't give you an exact time frame when it will be introduced. Make sure that you cast your vote for it which will increase its priority. The more votes an item gathers, the higher its priority becomes.

Please have a look at our Demo application >> RichTextEditor >> Syntax Highlight example which may be suitable for your specific scenario.

Please look into the posibility to add Syntax highlighting for language such as :  VB.NET, Javascript, HTML, etc
