ADD. Collapsible splitters in RadSplitContainer control - set EnableCollapsing property to true
This allows a linked SplitPanels to be dynamically expanded and collapsed by clicking on the splitter button, and resized by dragging the splitter.

The user control I'm building sounds like what Marco described.  The user enters filter values in the top panel and the program loads results into a gridview in the bottom panel.  If the split container had some kind of (toggle) button in the splitter then

Could be a great feature. I have many forms having a filter & option panel and a result panel. In this case, collapsing the panel is a nice feature.

Please put this in the next version it is a very logical piece that would make screen space usage much better!
