3D Charts will be a nice addition to the WinForms suite

Very interesting Hristo. Thanks for the sample.
One question: If I change the CombineMode from Stack to Cluster, the rendering is not nice (I tried both VB and C#). Can you check that please?

3D effects can also be achieved with the current RadChartView control. It will be necessary to employ custom rendering (https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/winforms/chartview/customization/custom-rendering) and to implement special painting logic. We have a project in our SDK library suggesting a possible solution. I hope that a similar approach would fit your actual scenario: https://github.com/telerik/winforms-sdk/tree/master/ChartView/3DBarChart

I just recheck and my chart was built using an old ComponentOne chart.
Anyway, you see the simple bar chart I am trying to build with a 3D effect.
Anyway to do it with your current RadChartView?

Hi Hristo. Really simple. A bar chart something like the attached file.
This feature will be definately considered, however, it is not currenlty in our immediate plans. The old RadChart control also did not support 3D charts. Can you please share in what scenario you willuse the chart and what features you will be expecting?

This feature has been submitted more than 5 years ago! Can we seriously expect to see it one day? As the RadChard is marked as obsolete (and that feature is included in there), how long will the RadChart will be supported?

I am not sure how helpful or relevant is the response received after 7 months of the last query that says still no clear delivery date for the feature.

Thank you for your feedback. Creating a 3D chart control is definitely in our ToDo list. However, in the near future, we have planned more urgent features considering the demand of our customers. Hence, we can't provide any time frame for this request. Feel free to follow this item and thus you will be notified as soon as any changes occur.
I hope this information helps.

I would need a 3D-chart for bars, so to speak.

Hi Sharon, can you please specify what kind of 3d charts you need and what functionality you expect from them?
Posted on:08 Jun 2017 11:35
I also need it!

By Z-axis I mean the ability to take bars that otherwise would have been implemented as side by side bars or different series in a 2D chart, and have the placed one behind the other, preferably with some control over transparency so that the data will be understandable.

Thank you for your feedback. What type of 3D charts with Z-axis would you find useful?
Posted on:18 Feb 2015 09:18
The 3D charts I would expect for a start would be naturally the basic various Pie, Doughnut , Bar an Line charts rendered in more appealing 3D, but also true 3D charts with Z-axis functionality.

For the time being, we are unable to share ETA on this feature. However, it will be great if you share with what kind of 3d charts you need.
Thank you in advance.

Would be a very welcome addition, and I'm very happy it changed status to Approved. I'm eager to hear about estimated availability. THANKS.
