Hello
When we have filtered rows in a spreadsheet (some rows are hidden) and we copy a single cell and paste into a range containing the hidden rows....
The spreadsheet copies the value into all cells in the range including those that are hidden. This is not the same functionality as Excel.
That said, is the any way to skip hidden cells in the paste range?
Is there a way to override the Kendo past function to do this? Can you provide an example?
Thank you
Jeffrey Suffet
Hi Jeffrey,
I am afraid that at the time being there is no way to configure Kendo Spreadsheet to skip paste on filtered-out cells in a range. That is because the Spreadsheet is implemented to always populate hidden cells in a range (just like Excel). Nevertheless, Excel makes difference between hidden and filtered-out rows, while Spreadsheet does not. As a result, the Kendo widget follows the behavior for hidden rows/columns in Excel. Excel, however, behaves in a different manner when those hidden rows are filtered out.
I am afraid that at the moment I won't be able to offer you a viable workaround that would alter the discussed behavior. Having that said, I have just converted the current thread to a feature request in our Feedback portal. I would recommend you to cast your vote for it:

As a small token of gratitude for helping us improve our product, I have updated your Telerik points.
