The current status of this Feature Request hasn't changed since the last reply from my colleague in the previous post. We have much more requested and anticipated features planned for the next release. If the FR linked above gathers more votes, we will consider including it in our roadmap. 

If a feature is of great importance to you, I can suggest considering the Feature Acceleration program provided at an additional cost from our Professional services. If such an option is of interest to you let me know and I will contact our colleagues from the Professional Services department. Then you can discuss the exact requirements, timeframes, and related costs with them.

There already is a feature request for adding support for locked columns in detail template scenarios in the Grid: https://feedback.telerik.com/kendo-jquery-ui/1469375-grid-row-template-and-detail-features-are-not-supported-in-combination-with-column-locking I've added a vote to it on your behalf and will mark the current FR as duplicate.

As of this moment, we do not plan to implement this feature in the upcoming releases, since we have other much more requested and anticipated features. If the FR linked above gathers more votes, we will consider including it in our roadmap.
