Hi All,
Datepicker is closing after clicking month or year not waiting until selecting the date.
We are using IPAD IOS 13.2.2 version and loading the data in desktop website in IPAD. Dojo also not working properly in IPAD with desktop mode.
Thanks,
Srikanth.K
Hi, Srikanth,
Thank you very much for letting me know that this is an urgent matter for your work.
I have discussed that with my Team Lead and we have already dedicated the time of one of our Software Engineers to look into it.
I hope it will be resolved as soon as possible. Keep an eye out on the GitHub issue for updates as it progresses from fixing it through to QA testing and finally when we trust the fix is production ready, it will be marked with a milestone with the upcoming release that it is going to be a part of.

Hi Alex,
Could you please provide any update on this issue.
Thanks,
Srikanth
Hello, Srikanth,
Thank you very much for providing the video - it helped us understand the steps that make the difference - namely - focusing the input on page load and then navigating to the month view.
I can confirm that this is a bug in mobile devices on Android and iOS which utilize desktop mode.
I have logged an issue that you may follow here:
https://github.com/telerik/kendo-ui-core/issues/5428
And the thread is now moved here:
https://feedback.telerik.com/kendo-jquery-ui/1441777-datepicker-is-closing-issue-in-ipad
Currently, there is no workaround as we need to look for the cause but if it becomes available, we would update the issue directly.
Finally, as a token of appreciation for helping us reproduce the issue, I have added some Telerik points to your account.
Please accept our apology for the inconvenience.
Kind Regards,

Hi Alex,
Please see the video. I have re-created the issue by using the full-screen link which you provided.
The date picker is closing when we keep the focus in date input field.
Thanks,

Hello, Srikanth,
Thank you very much for the provided screenshots and video.
The video from this demo actually did not show the calendar closing or opening, perhaps you sent me the wrong screen recording? Having said that, the second date picker is not supposed to allow choosing a day at all - it's a month and year picker because of the depth set on its configuration.
As for the video from our documentation, the error suggests that the JavaScripts are blocked somehow since jQuery is not loaded at all. Perhaps some security measure because of the sandbo where the Dojo is in the network you are on? What about if you try the same sample only in fullscreen this time?
Look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi, Srikanth,
I tested selecting a date from the Kendo UI DatePicker using the months on both mobile and desktop Safari with 13.2.2 on an iPad and was not able to reproduce any faulty behaviour.
I am attaching a screen recording I made and maybe you can identify what I am missing.
I am not sure what you mean about the Dojo not working on an iPad, could you please provide more details? The screenshot suggests that some parts of the editable code might have been deleted hence a JavaScript error is thrown. Can you talk me through some steps?
Look forward to hearing back from you.
Kind Regards,
