Toolbar - the openend overflow menu closes and immediately reopens when clicking the overflow button
The Kendo UI Toolbar widget's overflow menu can be opened/closed using the overflow button (by default on the right hand side of the toolbar). However, when the overflow menu is opened and a user clicks the button, the menu closes and immediately reopens again. It can only be closed by clicking somewhere outside of the menu. This DOJO demonstrates this behavior.

  1. open the DOJO from my previous post
  2. click on the toolbar overflow button so that the overflow menu is opened
  3. click the overflow button again, but do not release the left mouse button right away - the overflow menu is closed
  4. release the left mouse button - the overflow menu is reopened

If the animation duration is rather short, the overflow menu reopens quite often, because the animation duration is smaller than the duration of a click.

It appears that I am missing something to reproduce the issue you are experiencing. Could you please provide the steps I need to make to replicate it? Or if you could share a small video demonstrating the problem, I will be able to investigate further.

I have updated the DOJO to the latest version of Kendo-UI. If you are a fast clicker, things work just fine now. However, if clicking takes you longer than the overflow menu needs to collapse (animation!), it immediately reopens.

This brings me to our specific problem: We have disabled the animations for the overflow menu as suggested in this ticket. This means that it is not virtually impossible for the user to click fast enough.

The reported is a regression in the ToolBar widget functionality. Here is the GitHub item I have opened on that:
