Accessibility bug

After applying filter or page number, the table content gets changed but the screen reader didn't inform about the same.

Repro-Steps:

  1. Open the WPG - Home URL in browser.
  2. Now, navigate to table in table in scan mode.
  3. Observe the issue.

Actual Result:

After performing below action's, the table content gets changed but the narrator didn't announce about the content change:

  • After applying filter (any), if data shown as well as if no content found.
  • After selecting page no.

Expected Result:
The narrator should announce about change in the data table as soon as the filter applied, or page get changed.

User Impact:

Users who rely on screen readers are getting confused if the focus lands on the icon and only announces link without announcing the name of the link.

Hi,

Thank you for reporting this issue.

We were unable to reproduce the described behavior with the Kendo UI Grid, and we asked for more details about your setup in order to investigate further. Since we have not received a response, we are closing this item as Completed. The page from the repro steps is not accessible to us, so please share the following if the issue is still relevant:

  • the screen reader and browser versions
  • the Kendo UI version
  • a runnable example (for example in Dojo) that shows the issue

We are closing this item as Declined. We will reopen the item and investigate once we have this information.

Hello,

I tested the described behavior but from what I heard the Narrator acknowledges the loading Grid and announces it.

Here is my setup:

Windows 10 Enterprise

Chrome Version 112.0.5615.121

Is your setup the same?
