More events on TextBox widget

It would be very useful and much appreciated to have more events for the TextBox widget.

Simple standard events to could be:

  • KeyUp
  • KeyDown
  • KeyPress
  • Focus
  • LostFocus

Thank you so much for a great product!

I could not provide a timeframe for when the feature will be implemented. The logged requests are constantly monitored and based on the votes each issue gathers it could be considered for implementation.

I'm using the latest Telerik for jQuery (as of May 2024) and this issue still doesn't appear to be addressed. 

In my case, I'm using bindings to a kendo.observable model with events for keyup and keydown to check the entered textbox value and enable the OK button. 

I'd rather continue to use the model for events as I have numerous other dialogs with similar event functions. The sample you attached a few years back looks like a move backwards and will over complicate my code.

Hello Mikkel,

Thank you for logging this feature request. I have updated the status of the issue to "Unplanned". The community can vote for this functionality, and if shows interest, we will consider implementing it in a future release.

In the meantime, I would suggest you use the jQuery events as in the Dojo example linked here.
