More robust support for enums in the Filter control

We'd really like to see expanded support for enums in the Filter control.  Two main components to this request would be:

  • Showing the selected enum option's name instead of the underlying value on expressionPreview ('Open' instead of '0', 'Closed' instead of '1', etc)
  • Automatic select list of enum options (showing the enum names) as the default editor type (the same as how the Grid component's built-in filtering works)

Thank you!

Hi Tsvetomir,

Sorry, I should have included that.  In my case, it would be for C# (UI for ASP.NET Core).

Thank you!

Zac

Hi Zac,

Providing support of the Enum data type out-of-the-box is a great suggestion. However, can you specify for which suite is the suggestion given? I am asking due to the fact that in JavaScript, there is no type as Enum and we will have no chance in determining whether an object is just an object or if it has to be treated as an enumeration?

Can you confirm that the suggestion is towards the C# widgets?

Kind regards,
Tsvetomir
