Indention is not respected in Editor when pasted from Word with bookmarks

Bug report

When there are bookmarks in a Word file and the text from the Word is pasted in Editor the indention of the text and space of the alignment is changed.

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Open the Dojo
  2. Copy the list from the attached file and paste it in the Editor:

TestFile1.docx

Current behavior

The indention of the list is changed.

Expected/desired behavior

The pasted list should look like in the Word document

Environment

  • Kendo UI version: 2020.3.1118
  • jQuery version: x.y
  • Browser: [all ]

Hi Saby,

My colleague Ivan has already answered in the thread with ID 1505928 regarding problems with the "Enter" in Editor. For consistency, I would suggest you keep the conversation in the respective thread.

In my reports, it is not correctly reading the spaces that have been saved in the forms. How could I go about solving this problem?

Hi Neli, I have an even bigger problem. Could you tell me how to configure the "enter" to be a "<br>" and not a "<p>". I am having a lot of problems. In the editor I press enter but since a <p> is inserted, my report shows it all together, without line breaks. I need an urgent answer please.

Hi Saby,

The issue has not been fixed yet and it is still not scheduled for fixing. The reason for this is the presence in our queue of tasks with higher priority (more customers have shared their concerns about) and higher severity (the issues have a greater impact on the overall functionality of the respective widget or the suite as a whole). I am afraid, I won't be able to provide you with an estimate of when to expect the fix to be available.

Hi Saby,

The issue is marked as "Unplanned". This means that the bug is still not scheduled for fixing in a particular release. Thus, I cannot provide an estimate on when it will be fixed. The bugs are being fixed based on their priority and the impact a given bug has on the framework and the community. Based on these factors, the issue will be fixed in the future. At this point, we don't have a workaround that can fix the issue.
