Tooltip inconsistent positioning when large content is loaded

Reproduction of the problem

A sample WebSite is attached.

  1. Run the Test page.
  2. Click on the "Click me" text.
  3. The Tooltip shows up (note its position).
  4. Close the Tooltip.
  5. Click on the text again.

Current behavior

Initially the Tooltip shows up positioned in such way that most of its content not visible. If you close the Tooltip and click the "Click me" text to show it again, it is shown over the whole page.

Expected/desired behavior

The positioning on first opening is incorrect. The Tooltip should be positioned identically in both cases (when opened for the first time, and on subsequent opening).

  • Kendo UI version: 2020.3.1021
  • jQuery version: x.y

Hi Ashish,

We've already answered your question in a private thread and just to inform the community about the status of the current bug, I will post the reply that you received.

"Indeed, the status of the bug is still "Unplanned", which means its fix is not yet planned to be released for a specific release. When it gets planned and assigned to a developer, its status will change to "In Development". Until that moment we cannot share a time frame on when a fix will become available. This Tooltip positioning bug has a relatively low severity which is why bugs with higher severity and priority have been planned with precedence over it."

I have been tracking the bug there is no change is the status it shows the status as Unplanned. Is any one looking on the same if not can anyone please look into this and escalate if needed and let us know when we can expect a fix for the same.
