Virtual scroller in grids always has scrollbar visible

Hi,

I raised a forum support ticket for hiding the scrollbar when the data rows is <= pagesize. https://www.telerik.com/account/support-tickets/view-ticket/1493109

The response was to set the scrollbar overflow to auto and padding removed which caused overlapping of the scrollbar with the last column when visible.

Feature is requested to have this feature inbuilt with Grids having Virtual Scroller to avoid it.

Thanks

Devna

Hello Devna,

By default when an element is defined as scrollable there will be a scrollbar out of the box. This behavior applies to all HTML elements - check out the dojo below that shows a scrollable div with just a few words of text:

In addition the Virtual Scrolling feature is intended to be used as an alternative to paging when a large number of items will be shown in the Grid. In order for the virtual scrolling to work as expected the number of items shown in the Grid should be more than the height of the component. Please check out the article below for more detailed description of the Virtual scrolling feature.
