How to implement SearchRow in RadGrid for Kendo UI similar to SearchRow in WinForms RadGridView
How to implement SearchRow in RadGrid for ASP.Net similar to SearchRow in WinForms RadGridView

The SearchRow in RadGridView WinForms is extremely good.

How can we implement the same in Kendo UI RadGrid?

We've prepared an example on how the search and highlight functionality can be achieved with the current set of tools. The example will be live for next week.

Indeed the requirement here seems to be a bit different. I am marking this as unplanned so we could provide a solution, whether a built-in one or a KB example.

Hi Angel,

The current implementation Search-Panel is more of a Filter-Panel. Request to change the name of the control implemented to Filter-Panel instead.

The requirement of "Search-Panel" as was requested is not met.

Thanks for introducing the Search Panel in the Kendo UI. This basic search panel is a good starting point.

The Search Panel however should do only search and highlight the findings. SearchPanel in current implementation is doing the job of filter instead which is not what is expected.

The final product product I would expect more features as we have in the WinForms RadGridView SearchRow:

At this stage, the Kendo UI Grid does not support such a feature. If this request gets enough votes, it will be considered for implementation.
